Grand Marshal Rosemarie L. Mellody
Rosemarie L. Mellody is well- known in the Irish-American community having served in many offices on our Committee – including as General Chairman – and currently serving as Corresponding Secretary of the Giblin Association. A resident of Upper Montclair, she is a native of County Longford, a parishioner of St. Cassian Church, and an avid runner.
Deputy Grand Marshal Rev. Patrick W. Donohue
Fr. Pat Donohue is Newark’s ‘Chaplain to the Irish.’ Fr. Pat has been our Committee Chaplain for 25 years since his service as Pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Vailsburg. But he is also Chaplain to the Frank McGovern Association, the John F. Cryan Association, the Joseph Nugent Sr. Association, the Vailsburg Irish-American Association, and the Bergen County Irish.
✞ Raymond M. Durkin
The 2015 Parade will be dedicated to one of Vailsburg’s most accomplished sons, the late Raymond M. Durkin. Ray Durkin was a friend and a mentor to many associated with our Parade and his son, Chris, served as our Grand Marshal in 2010. The Committee is grateful that his family will be on hand on Parade day when the Dedication is vested in his memory.
